There was bad weather a view days ago in Nijmegen. It was rainy and windy. However, actually it was storm that hit England, France, and the Netherlands. There were 9 people killed because of the storm. As Chrisye's song "Badai Pasti Berlalu", it is a very lovely weather today in Nijmegen. My friend and I go to the countryside. It is cold and a little bit windy but I don't want to miss the sun. So, here are some pictures for you, please enjoy a report from countryside...
A very unique house. Its wall is made of wood and mud and there is green grass grow in its roof.
"Boer Koekoek", it is what is said in its gate.
An open and large husbandry. They look happy. It must be lovely to be cows in here, they can enjoy the fresh view, fresh air, fresh food. Unlike in Indonesia cows are usually stay in cage.
Thank God for the nice weather of today.
"drempel" means 'threshold', 30 km/h is the limit for you who drive in this countryside.
An old church in a rural area, my friend, Federico, told me that there was a beautiful traditional music show in this church.
A very lovely cute house in the middle of corn field. I wish I lived in this kind of house.
I don't know what this building is. It is just interesting because the tower is a little bit skewed, reminds me of the leaning tower of Pisa.
Weird cows, they have white strip in the middle of their body. Look like tapir but they are cows.
Floating houses and cafes.
This dam was build in 1933, made by both the Netherlands and Germany. You can see their flags in the top of those two metal things like chimneys.
